Gaelic

At Glasgow Gaelic School, the Gaelic language is at the heart of everything we do. Central to this ethos is our Gaelic department, where our young people have the opportunity to develop and use their language in a variety of ways and to become active and enthusiastic members of the Gaelic community in Scotland and all over the world.

At National 5 and Higher, pupils learn fundamental skills like critical analysis of literature, research, essay writing and oral presentation, all through the medium of Gaelic.

We encourage our pupils to participate in a wide range of extra-curricular activities to help develop and hone their Gaelic language skills, such as Deasbad Nàiseanta na h-Alba, the Royal National Mòd and many more.
